BEIJING, Mar. 8 -- The 22nd Chinese Peacekeeping Level-1+ Hospital to the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) recently provided emergency treatment to a transferred patient. The patient, a corporal of the Serbian peacekeeping battalion, was transferred from the Spanish peacekeeping hospital.

After a set of examinations including blood test, abdominal B-mode ultrasound and electrocardiogram monitoring, the Chinese medical team immediately took emergency measures. About 10 minutes later, the patient recovered consciousness with stable vital signs.

“Thank you for the emergency treatment. The soldier has been restored to health after your meticulous care. I was impressed by your superb medical skills,” said a Serbian commander.

Since its deployment to the mission area in mid-December, 2023, the Chinese Peacekeeping Level-1+ Hospital has received and treated more than 700 patients, and carried out a range of emergency evacuation drills, emergency defense drills and joint medical exercises.
