BEIJING, Mar. 11 -- The hospital of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Support Base in Djibouti provided free clinic service to the personnel of the Chinese Embassy in Djibouti, China Merchants Group units, Chinese companies, Confucius Institute and other agencies in Djibouti on March 8, local time.
As March 8 marks the 114th International Women's Day, every woman received flowers with a greeting card made by the Chinese service members.
During the free clinic activity, 10 departments including cardiology, gastroenterology, vascular surgery, pain treatment, stomatology, orthopedics, psychology, neurosurgery, endocrinology and physiotherapy provided comprehensive health examination and consultation services for the Chinese compatriots seeking their help, and distributed more than 20 kinds of commonly used medicines.
The Chinese compatriots said that through this free clinic event, they learned a lot of health knowledge, and deeply felt the warmth from the motherland.
In recent years, the Chinese PLA Support Base in Djibouti has carried out the "Horn of East Africa" International "Medical Forum, "Bright Eyes Operation" special medical service project, and provided medical assistance to the General Hospital of the Djibouti Military through cooperation projects. The Chinese female service members have demonstrated their expertise, winning unanimous praise.
