BEIJING, Mar. 22 -- A forest fire broke out near Guangming Village, Cangshanxi Town, Yangbi Yi Autonomous County of Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture, southwest China's Yunnan Province, on the afternoon of March 18. The Dali detachment under the Chinese People's Armed Police (PAP) Force Yunnan Corps wasted no time to dispatch over 100 members with fire-fighting equipment to reinforce the frontline fire rescue task overnight.
As of press time, the open flames have been extinguished. The PAP troops were checking and clearing dark fire spots to prevent the forest fire from reigniting.
