BEIJING, Apr. 30 -- China's Ministry of Veterans Affairs held a press conference to mark its 6th anniversary on April 29, at which it was released that China had taken back the remains of 825 Chinese People's Volunteers (CPV) martyrs in the ROK, completed the DNA information collection of more than 1000 relatives of CPV martyrs and determined the identities of 20 returned CPV martyrs.
"Currently, we are working with relevant departments to negotiate with the ROK side to promote the handover of the 11th batch of remains of CPV martyrs in the ROK. We will announce it to the public in a timely manner once it is confirmed," said Li Jingxian, deputy director of the Department of Commendation and Commemoration of China's Ministry of Veterans Affairs.
