BEIJING, May 10 -- The third batch of the Chinese participating troops for the China-Mongolia "Steppe Partner-2024" joint army training arrived in Dornogovi Province of Mongolia at 5:30 am on May 9, marking the completion of the buildup of Chinese participating troops.

The Chinese participating troops, mainly chosen from a brigade under the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) 79th Group Army, completed force projection and build up by railway transport in three batches. When the three batches arrived at an unloading station in Mongolia, the Mongolian side organized warm welcome ceremonies for them in accordance with its traditional etiquette.

Upon arrival, the Chinese participating troops rapidly established command and communication links, constructed defense facilities, conducted field camping deployment and topographic surveys, and unblocked supply routes for non-staple food, water and electrical power in accordance with actual combat requirements to ensure full engagement of the troops in the joint training. Next, the two sides will have consultations on specific topics around field operations.
