Chinese peacekeeping medical contingent to Lebanon celebrates International Nurses Day with foreign counterparts

BEIJING, May 13 -- The 22nd Chinese Peacekeeping Level-1+ Hospital to the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) held anexchange event at the Chinese hospital in Lebanon on May 12 to mark the 113th International Nurses Day. More than 10 nurses from Spain, Indonesia, Cambodia, Serbia, and other troops contributing countries of the UNIFIL attended the event upon invitation.

At the event, Chinese medical peacekeepers demonstrated battlefield first aid skills such as tactical evasion, wound inspection and hemostasis, bandaging and fixation, casualty evacuation and intravenous infusion under dark light to the peers.They also presented patient daily care and nursing quality management. During the interactive activity, four nurses from Indonesia, Serbia and other peacekeeping units respectively shared their working experience and observation feelings as representatives.

It is reported that members of this medical contingent were mainly chosen from the No. 922 Hospital of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Joint Logistic Support Force. Since its deployment in December last year, it has treated more than 1,200 patients and performed more than 1,600 nursing operations, providing high-quality, efficient, and considerate nursing services to patients from many countries.
