BEIJING, May 22 -- At the invitation of the Chinese Ministry of National Defense (MND), more than 80 young military officers from over 40 African countries arrived in Beijing on May 20 for a 10-day visit to China.

During the visit, these young and middle-aged African military officers will attend lectures, visit cultural and historical sites, go to high-tech companies for on-the-spot investigation in cities including Beijing, Changsha, Shaoshan, Guangzhou and Shenzhen, and have in-depth exchanges with their Chinese counterparts.

This is the third time that the Chinese MND has invited the delegation with young and middle-aged African military officers to visit China. The activity aims to deepen the traditional friendship between the militaries of China and African countries, enhance mutual understanding and exchanges between Chinese and African young military officers, and carry forward the building of a closer China-Africa community with a shared future.
