Chinese troops carry out charity activities in Cambodia

KAMPONG CHHNANG, Cambodia, May 25 -- The Chinese troops participating in the China-Cambodia "Golden Dragon 2024" joint exercise dispatched a medical unit to carry out free clinics at a local health center in Kampong Chhnang Province, Cambodia on May 22, local time.

The Chinese medical unit consisted of 20 medical staff members, involving nine specialties including orthopedics and endocrinology. On the morning of May 22 alone, the medical team served more than 300 local people with on-site diagnosis and treatment, and distributed more than 500 boxes of medicines.

Prior to that, the Chinese service members visited a local school and donated school supplies and other materials to the teachers and students there on May 20, local time.

It is learnt that these two charity activities were an important part of the China-Cambodia "Golden Dragon 2024" joint exercise, aiming to further enhance the friendship between the people of the two countries.
