DAR ES SALAAM, Tanzania, Jul. 30 -- At noon on July 27 local time, as the Y-20 transport aircraft carrying the last batch of Chinese participating troops landed at Nyerere International Airport in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, all the Chinese troops had arrived in the exercise area for the "Peace Unity-2024" joint exercise.
Immediately after arriving in Dar es Salaam, the Chinese participating troops started field survey, set up command post, and conducted adaptive training.
According to plan, the militaries of China, Tanzania and Mozambique will hold the "Peace Unity-2024" joint exercise from late-July to mid-August.
Under the theme of joint counter-terrorism military operations, the joint exercise will be carried out both at sea and on land, aiming at promoting the capabilities of participating troops in jointly responding to terrorism and safeguarding the maritime security.
