The Chinese navy sailing training ship Po Lang docks at Cam Ranh International Port.

CAM RANH BAY, Vietnam, Sept. 11 -- The Chinese navy's sailing training ship Po Lang, which is on the midshipmen ocean-going training and visit mission, arrived in Cam Ranh Bay, Vietnam, on Tuesday morning for a three-day goodwill visit. It marks the first visit of the ship Po Lang to Vietnam after it was commissioned.

At around 10:00 a.m., the sailing training ship Po Lang docked at the Cam Ranh International Port under the guidance of the Vietnamese Navy's sailing training ship Le Quy Don. More than 120 people, including the leaders and staff of the Military Attaché Office of the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam and the Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City, and representatives of overseas Chinese, Vietnamese military leaders and representatives of the Vietnamese Navy, came to welcome the ship at the dock.

During the visit, the Chinese naval officers and midshipmen onboard will attend a series of friendly exchange activities, involving 100 young military officers from China and Vietnam in Vietnam Naval Academy. These activities mainly include symposiums, military installation visits, friendly sports games and an evening gala for young service members from both sides. While docking there, the ship Po Lang will also carry out ship open day and deck reception activities.
