BEIJING, Sept. 14 -- The German Navy's frigate FGS Baden-Württemberg and replenishment ship FGS Frankfurt am Main sailed through the Taiwan Strait on September 13 and hyped it up. Naval Senior Captain Li Xi, spokesperson for the Chinese PLA Eastern Theater Command, slammed such provocative move in a written statement released on Saturday.
The spokesperson said that the Chinese PLA Eastern Theater Command had organized naval and air forces to track and monitor German naval vessels' transit in the whole course.
"Germany's actions have increased security risks and sent wrong signals," said the spokesperson, adding that the troops of the Chinese PLA Eastern Theater Command will remain on high alert at all times and be ready to respond to all threats and provocations.
