The 22nd Chinese Peacekeeping Construction Engineering Company to the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon hosts the "China International Night" cultural event at the Chinese camp on Monday evening, local time.
BEIRUT, Sept. 18 -- Before the Mid-Autumn Festival, the 22nd Chinese Peacekeeping Construction Engineering Company to the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) hosted the "China International Night" cultural event at the Chinese camp on Monday evening, local time. More than 100 guests, including peacekeepers from over 10 troop-contributing countries of the UNIFIL, Lebanese government forces, and military observers, attended the event.
"The Mid-Autumn Festival is a wonderful holiday, which is about family, affection, reunion, and blessings," said Lieutenant Colonel He Lei from the Chinese peacekeeping construction engineer company. During the event, the Chinese peacekeeping troops displayed performances and cuisine with distinctive Chinese characteristics to showcase ancient Chinese culture to foreign counterparts.
It is reported that due to the current complex situation between Lebanon and Israel, the rapid response team and emergency assault team of the Chinese peacekeeping troops were fully armed and on standby to ensure rapid response and stable disposal in case of emergencies.
Spectacular traditional Chinese cultural activities are held during the "China International Night" cultural event.
