ZHUHAI, Nov. 16 -- The 15th China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition (Airshow China) is being held in Zhuhai, south China's Guangdong Province. Various PLA aircraft debuted at this airshow, including the PLAAF J-35A, PLAN J-15T, and Y-20F100, the model of a new version of Y-20, which is displayed at the Aviation Industry of China (AVIC) pavilion.
The Y-20F100 is a large civilian transport aircraft and is currently under initial research and development (R&D) phase. The aircraft features a length of 54 meters, height of 15 meters and wing span of 50 meters with a cargo hold of 27 meters long.
With a maximum load of 65 tons, it can transport large-size engineering machine and goods, as well as standard-sized civilian container and pallet.
It is learnt that it will adopt a number of advanced technologies including supercritical airfoil and fly-by-wire control system.
