CHANGSHA, Nov. 20 -- The National University of Defense Technology (NUDT) of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) held the International Cadets Science Week in Changsha City, central China's Hunan Province, from November 10 to 16. The one-week event involved twenty officer cadets from nine countries including Oman, Pakistan, Laos, Malaysia, Vietnam, Egypt, Italy, Serbia and Venezuela.

During the exchange, Chinese and foreign cadets had lectures regarding cutting-edge science and technology, and visited the "Tianhe" series of supercomputers and the BeiDou navigation satellite system. They also participated in specialized scientific experiments and scientific and technological practices including the control of intelligent robots.

At the military forum of science and technology, the participating cadets had intensive and in-depth discussions on topics such as "cultivation of high-tech science and technology personnel" and "contributing to peace and development with high technologies."

In addition, the Chinese and foreign cadets took part in a variety of cultural activities about Chinese painting, calligraphy, military music and folk songs.
