BEIJING, Jan. 7 -- Recently, the 6th Twin Bridges Forum, hosted by the College of International Studies of the National University of Defense Technology (NUDT) of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA), took place in Kunshan City, east China's Jiangsu Province. This year's forum was conducted with the theme of "Global Civilization Initiative and Diverse and Inclusive World". About 120 representatives from 20 countries, including foreign military attachés to China and senior officials from certain countries, experts from military academies and some foreign military cadets, were invited to the forum.
At the opening ceremony, Chinese experts and representatives of high-ranking foreign military cadets from the College of Defense Studies of the PLA National Defense University, the War Studies College of the PLA Academy of Military Sciences, the PLA Army Engineering University and the College of International Studies of the NUDT had discussions on three topics including the diversity, inheritance and innovation of world civilizations, the international cultural exchanges and cooperation, and the modernization of China and Africa featuring diversity and inclusiveness. This forum has further deepened the Chinese and foreign military service members' understanding of the Global Civilization Initiative through discussions. It has also injected positive energy into advancing exchanges and mutual learning among different civilizations, promoting friendly military exchanges and building more consensus.
