Singaporean naval medical staff visit the traditional Chinese medicine clinic on the Chinese naval hospital ship Peace Ark.
BEIJING, Jan. 8 -- The Chinese naval hospital ship Peace Ark, which is on the Mission Harmony-2024, departed from the wharf of Changi Naval Base, Singapore, on January 7, local time, concluding its technical stop in Singapore and setting out for China.
During the five-day technical stop, Singaporean naval medical staff and staff of the Chinese Embassy in Singapore visited the ship Peace Ark. Representatives of the Chinese sailors visited the naval medical center of Singapore, promoting mutual understanding and mutual trust between the two sides through friendly exchanges.
It is learned that since it set sail from Zhoushan City, east China's Zhejiang Province on June 16, 2024, the Peace Ark has visited 13 countries, including Seychelles, Tanzania, Madagascar, Mozambique, South Africa, Angola, the Republic of the Congo, Gabon, Cameroon, Benin, Mauritania, Djibouti and Sri Lanka, and provided medical service. It has also made technical stops in Algeria and Singapore. During this period, the Peace Ark has treated more than 80,000 patients, and completed about 1,400 surgeries and operations and nearly 40,000 examinations and tests of all kinds. The Chinese naval hospital ship has conveyed peace and friendship through excellent medical skills, winning wide acclaim from the dignitaries and people of the visited countries.
During the mission, the Peace Ark has also carried out all-element medical treatment, counter-terrorism and anti-piracy drills, and held joint exercises with multiple navies, further strengthening its medical service support capabilities in the far seas and contributing to the building of a maritime community with a shared future.
