BEIJING, April 28 -- Chinese and foreign defense officials, experts and scholars attending the inaugural Navigator Meeting of the Beijing Xiangshan Forum, which will last for three days, arrived in Beijing on April 28, 2025.
Scheduled from April 28 to 30, the Navigator Meeting includes welcome dinner, opening ceremony, bilateral and multilateral meetings, roundtable discussions, cultural visits and other activities.
With the theme of "Opportunities and Challenges for Global Security", the meeting will provide an opportunity for the participants to share their views and opinions about the current global security landscape and regional hotspot issues.
In the coming two days, the forum will convene four roundtable discussions on The Trend of Defense and Military Cooperation in the Asia-Pacific, The Trend of Great Power Relations after the Super Election Year, The Role of BRICS in Global Security Governance, as well as The Role of the UN in Resolving Global and Regional Hotspot Security Issues.
Through these seminars, senior defense officials, renounced experts and scholars from more than 30 countries and international organizations will hold in-depth exchange and discussions, explore new concepts and new methods to further enhance mutual trust on security issues, deepen defense and security cooperation between different countries, strengthen global security governance, and make new contributions to promoting world peace and stability.
