CHANGSHA, China, May 12 -- From May 9 to 11, nearly 100 young and middle-aged military officers from over 40 African countries visited the Chinese PLA National University of Defense Technology (NUDT) in Changsha City and had exchanges with Chinese young military cadets.
During the visit, the African military officers attended theme lectures, viewed the scientific research achievements of the university, and observed the basic military training of the Chinese military cadets. They will also visit Guangzhou and Shenzhen cities in south China’s Guangdong Province in the following days.
It is learned that the event is organized by the Chinese Ministry of National Defense (MND) and hosted by the NUDT, aiming to enhance mutual understanding among young and middle-aged military officers from China and Africa and further deepen the friendship between China and Africa.
