BEIJING, July 11 -- Recently, flash floods swept through Fubao Town, Hejiang County, Luzhou City, southwest China's Sichuan Province, swamping streets and homes and trapping residents. The Luzhou Detachment under the Chinese People's Armed Police (PAP) Sichuan Corps immediately arrived at the town to search for the missing and evacuate those at risk. By 21:00 p.m. on July 9, they had evacuated more than 230 residents to safety and salvaged five tons of various supplies.
