Chinese peacekeeping medical contingent to Lebanon passes UNIFIL military capability assessment

BEIJING, Aug. 7 -- On Wednesday, local time, the 23rd Chinese Peacekeeping Level One Plus Hospital to the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) passed the military capability assessment organized by the UNIFIL. The assessment team spoke highly of the Chinese peacekeeping medical contingent's professional quality and capabilities for undertaking peacekeeping missions.

This assessment, organized by the UNIFIL headquarters, covered 102 specific items in seven core categories, namely medical service, personnel, operation, situational awareness, training, communications, and logistics.

The UNIFIL assessment team noted that the Chinese peacekeeping medical contingent has fully met the standards in terms of personnel quality, equipment performance, operating procedures, and collaboration effectiveness, thereby demonstrating complete conformity with the standards and requirements of UN peacekeeping operations and proving its competence in efficient, secure, and sustainable mission execution.
