ASTANA, May 24 (ChinaMil) – The four-day 5th Kazakhstan Defense Exhibition kicked off Wednesday in Astana, capital of Kazakhstan.
Headed by Publicity Center of China's State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, seven large military trade companies of China take part in the exhibition with exhibits of weapons and equipment for the army, navy and air force.
A batch of China’s competitive products in the international military trade market including the FM-3000 medium-range air defense missile weapon system, the Yilong unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), the Type-VT4 main battle tank, the REL-4 medium and long range three-dimensional air defense warning radar, the Silent Hunter fiber-optic laser air-defense system, JY-27A air defense warning and guidance radar system and the M20 ground-to-ground tactical missile system made a group appearance at the exhibition and attracted wide attention.
The Long-March International Trade Co. has brought to the exhibition its LY-806 ground-to-air missile system, CH-901 UAV system and UAV-borne weapons including the FT-9 precision-guided bomb.
The China National Aero-Technology Import & Export Corporation displays its Yilong UAV system, Y-9E military transport aircraft, L-15 advanced trainer aircraft at the exhibition.
China North Industries Corp's exhibits mainly cover its representative products in seven areas including air defense weapon system, anti-missile system, and the Beidou navigation satellite system.
China National Precision Machinery Import & Export Co. Ltd. brings to the exhibition air defense missile systems including the FM3000 medium-range air defense missile. Visitors to the exhibition can also see the JY-27A air-defense warning radar system provided by CETC International Co., Ltd.
China National Electronics Import & Export Corporation shows its software products like the defense information system upgrade solution and cyber security solutions, while the Poly Technology Co., Ltd. offers its defense system solutions.
The Kazakhstan Defense Exhibition, one of the most influential military exhibitions in Central Asia, was first held in 2010. The exhibition mainly showcases aircraft, aviation and aerospace technology, air defense systems, weapons and equipment for army and navy, military UAVs and robots and so forth.
More than 400 companies from 55 countries and regions participate in the defense exhibition this year.
