MINSK, July 4 (ChinaMil) -- Belarus held a grand military parade marking its Independence Day in the capital city of Minsk on Tuesday morning. The guard of honor of the three services of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) took part in the parade for the first time on the invitation of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Belarus .
The guard of honor of the PLA participating in the parade consisted of 66 officers and soldiers. They paraded through the rostrum in measured paces and accepted the inspection.
More than 3,200 troops participated in the parade, and more than 260 pieces of weapons and equipment were displayed, including Belarus' latest armored vehicles and air-defense missile systems. The Belarus Air Force echelon also showcased various types of military helicopters, fighter jets, and transport aircraft.
