BEIJING, June 27 -- The 12th China International Defense Electronics Exhibition (CIDEX) opened on June 26 at the China National Convention Center in Beijing with a large number of high-tech products on display.
This exhibition is approved and supported by the Equipment Development Department of China's Central Military Commission (CMC), and co-organizedby China Electronics Technology Group Corporation (CETC) and China Electronics Corporation (CEC). It covers an area of nearly 40,000 square meters, attracting more than 400 well-known companies from 10 countries and regions including the UK, the US, Switzerland, Austria, Finland and Germany to participate. Their products involve electronics, weapons, aviation, aerospace and other industries.
At the exhibition, the family of early warning aircraft made a collective appearance. The KJ-2000 is China's first homegrown early warning aircraft. The KJ-600 features high-power radar system in smart fuselage. In addition to military operations, KJ-600 can also conduct maritime escort operations.
UAV is also one of the highlights of the exhibition. The unmanned helicopters that can participate in military operations and the multi-rotor drones that can participate in forest firefighting have also become popular exhibits.
The Equipment Development Department of the CMC set up an exhibition area to showcase the development achievements of the mechanization, informatization, and intelligence integration of China's weapons and equipment in recent years, especially the latest ones in network information equipment, as well as military trade equipment system, the performance of new-generation equipment and typical combat application scenarios.
It is reported that during the three-day exhibition, representatives of leading enterprises in the military industry at home and abroad, scientific research institutes, and high-tech enterprises will hold activities such as product display, procurement matchmaking, exchanges and cooperation. A delegation of military attachés in China will also visit the exhibition.
