BEIJING, Nov. 11 -- The Chinese and US militaries started a three-day-long video seminar on humanitarian assistance and disaster relief (HADR) on November 11th, according to a written statement released by the Ministry of National Defense of China.
The seminar was in line with the annual exchange plan between the two militaries and will be held via video link between Nanjing, China and Hawaii, the United States.
With the purpose to share the two militaries' experience in HADR, the two sides will have a three-day exchange on various topics such as military participation in flood fighting, typhoon prevention, COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control, and military-civilian cooperation.
It is learnt that this is the 16th seminar between the Chinese and US militaries under the exchange mechanism of HADR.
