BEIJING, Aug. 22 – According to the recruitment office of the Training and Administration Department under China's Central Military Commission (CMC), recruitment of high school graduates by the Chinese military educational institutions in 2023 has been completed recently, with a total of 17,000 students enrolled by 27 military educational institutions.
According to statistics, compared to previous years, military educational institutions are more favored by Chinese student applicants in this year's college entrance examination admission work, with 135,000 from 31 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions participating in political evaluation, over 50,000 in the inspection, an increase of 15% from 2022.
The completion rate of enrollment plan is 99.9% (with a shortage of 20 recruits due to failed physical examinations), reaching a record high since the adjustment and reform of military educational institutions. The recruits are now coming to register on various campuses.
The recruitment work this year has been organized in a more scientific and reasonable way, with some common standards being relaxed appropriately and supplemental program standards of specialist positions being refined after full consideration of new changes in the physical conditions of youths at appropriate age as well as new requirements of different military operating positions.
