BEIJING, Feb.16 -- The 10th Chinese peacekeeping combined construction engineering company to MINUSMA completed the restoration and upgrade of the combat works outside the Super Camp of United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) in Gao on February 11.
Under the recent turbulent situation in Mali, the MINUSMA Super Camp in Gao is under high risks of terrorist attacks including car bomb attacks, infiltration of armed terrorists, and strike of curved-trajectory weapon, since the camp is close to a main highway.
At the request from the MINUSMA security department, the Chinese contingent repaired the weathered firing works outside the super camp and built two new combat works to strengthen the shooting platform for armored vehicles.
