Destroyer Zhanjiang departs for LIMA 2023, debuting in military diplomatic mission

BEIJING, May 18 -- The naval guided-missile destroyer Zhanjiang (Hull 165), carrying a ship-borne helicopter and more than 200 crew members, set sail from a military port in Zhanjiang, Guangdong, on May 16, to participate in the 16th Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA 2023) in Malaysia. It marks the first military diplomatic mission for the destroyer Zhanjiang.

As one of the most influential integrated defense exhibitions in Southeast Asia, LIMA 2023 is scheduled to kick off on May 22, when more than 600 businesses from around 30 countries and regions including China, the US, France and the UAE will attend.

The exhibits will cover almost all the maritime and aviation fields, ranging from military aircraft and ships to civilian radar communication systems.
