BEIJING, July 11 -- Three units under the PLA Eastern Theater Command, comprising an army coast defense brigade, an army aviation brigade and the Naval Hospital, jointly carried out a helicopter emergency medical rescue exercise recently to improve the timeliness and efficiency of transporting the wounded personnel on island from medium and long distance in both wartime and peacetime. With the air mobile force debuted in the exercise, the transportation chain from the frontier on a remote island battlefield to the helicopter unit for airlift, and then to the hospital in the rear was completed.
