BEIJING, Jan. 16 -- Due to recent snowstorm in the mountainous areas in Altay Prefecture, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, multiple avalanches have led to the blockage of many roads and the failure of communications and power supply. On January 13, an army aviation brigade assigned to the PLA Xinjiang Military Command dispatched helicopters to the mountainous areas in Altay and delivered the personnel and relief materials to the designated points.
