BEIJING, Feb. 8 -- The 27th Chinese Peacekeeping Troops to MONUSCO stuck to their posts and carried out their peacekeeping duties in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) as the Spring Festival, traditional Chinese New Year, approaches.
The Chinese peacekeeping troops in the DRC consist of an engineering company and a level-2 hospital. During the Spring Festival holidays, the engineering company will complete the task of leveling the parking lot of the United Nations World Food Program's warehouse in Bukavu, and the medical contingent will send a team to deliver medicines to Uvira and other distribution points in the DRC.
