Chinese peacekeeping medical contingent in South Sudan (Wau) passes UN equipment inspection

BEIJING, Oct. 21 -- Recently, the 14th Chinese Peacekeeping Level-II Hospital to the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) passed the UN equipment inspection for the fourth quarter of 2024. The inspection team carried out full-element assessment of more than 800 equipment in eight categories including medical equipment, weapons and ammunition. 

It is known that up to now, the Chinese peacekeeping medical contingent has treated more than 1,400 patients, admitted more than 40 inpatients and conducted more than 30 surgeries, winning wide recognition from the UN and the locals.
