BEIJING, Dec.5 -- At 10:00 a.m., December 5, under the guidance of Chinese PLA naval frigate Yancheng (Hull 546), a Russian naval taskforce, consisting of Russian Navy frigates Gromkiy (335), Rezkiy (343), Aldar Tsydenzhapov (339) and oil tanker Pechenga, docked at a military port of the Chinese PLA Navy in Qingdao, a coast city of east China's Shandong Province, kicking off a 5-day goodwill visit.
Over 100 naval sailors from the PLA Northern Theater Command (NTC) welcomed the arrival of the Russian naval vessels.
During the 5-day visit, the commander of the Russian naval taskforce will call on the leaders of staff department of the navy under the NTC and officials of the Qingdao municipal government. Meanwhile, the naval service members from both sides will visit the warships of each side and engage in skill exchange, cultural activities and sports games.
According to schedule, the Russian naval taskforce will wrap up the visit and leave Qingdao on the morning of December 9.
