BEIJING, Dec. 9 -- The Chinese navy's sailing training ship Po Lang (Hull 86), which's carrying out the midshipmen ocean-going training, returned to a military port in Dalian City on the morning of December 6, after completing friendly visits to four countries including Vietnam, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, and Singapore, as well as technical stops in Malaysia and Hong Kong.
Since setting sail on August 20, the ship, carrying more than 30 cadets from the Chinese PLA Dalian Naval Academy, sailed through six sea areas with a total voyage of over 11,000 nautical miles.
During the visits, in-depth foreign exchange activities were carried out, including bilateral meetings, visits to universities, cultural and sports activities, open ship day and deck reception activities.
Ship Po Lang (Hull 86), the first sailing training ship of the Chinese PLA Navy, is attached to a training ship detachment with the PLA Dalian Naval Academy.
