BEIJING, Dec. 13 -- Chinese naval hospital ship Silk Road Ark recently conducted a multi-dimensional medical rescue drill in the South China Sea.
The Silk Road Ark is the second 10,000 ton-class hospital ship domestically developed by China, after the Peace Ark. It shares the same design as the Peace Ark but has a larger displacement and a longer endurance. The commissioning of the Silk Road Ark has further enhanced the Chinese PLA Navy's logistic support capabilities.
