BEIJING, Jan. 31 -- Recently, new recruits assigned to a border defense regiment under the Chinese PLA Xinjiang Military Command embarked on their path of border patrol. By means of walking and riding horse, they braved freezing cold weather and completed their first patrol mission in the snow-clad border area of northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
