BEIJING, Feb. 4 -- The 11th Chinese Peacekeeping Infantry Battalion to the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) staged a gala recently in their barracks to celebrate the Spring Festival, Chinese traditional Lunar New Year.

UN staff members and military representatives of other troop-contributing countries were invited to the gala.

Chinese peacekeepers performed Chinese traditional folk arts such as Lion Dance, Dragon Dance, Martial Arts, Shadow Puppetry and “Striking Iron Flowers”.

The guests had a lot of fun and were captivated by the Chinese culture after watching the spectacular performances.
