Chinese naval frigate Xuchang holds open ship day, deck reception activities in Singapore

BEIJING, May 9 -- The International Maritime Defense Exhibition (IMDEX) Asia 2025 kicked off at the Changi Exhibition Center in Singapore on May 6th. The guided-missile frigate Xuchang (Hull 536) and the minesweeper/hunter Chishui (Hull 729) attached to the Chinese PLA Navy participated in this event. During the exhibition, the frigate Xuchang carried out open ship day and deck reception activities.

Visitors boarded the ship to learn about China's national defense construction and warship equipment knowledge. Overseas Chinese, foreign friends, and international students in Singapore took photos with the frigate.

A deck reception was held on frigate Xuchang at night. Sailors assigned to the frigate performed traditional Chinese performances such as Guzheng (Chinese zither), Tai Chi, and face-changing.

More than 1,000 visitors, including overseas Chinese and foreign friends, participated in the open ship day activities.
