Chinese naval sailors participate in shore-based exchange activities in Singapore

SINGAPORE, May 14 -- Representatives of the Chinese naval sailors participating in the "China-Singapore Exercise Cooperation 2025" joint maritime exercise in Singapore conducted multiple shore-based exchange activities with their Singaporean counterparts. The Chinese naval taskforce consists of the guided-missile frigate Xuchang (Hull 536) and the minesweeper/hunter Chishui (Hull 729).

The participating troops of the two navies jointly carried out sports competition, pre-sail meeting, damage control drill, and other activities. From May 9 to 12, representatives of the Chinese naval sailors were invited to visit the Singapore Navy Museum and Singaporean naval ships, further deepening mutual understanding and trust.

It is learned that the joint exercise proceeded to the maritime drill stage on May 14, and the warships of the two navies will conduct joint exercise on gunnery firing, replenishment at sea, joint search and rescue, and other subjects.
