BEIJING, July 2 -- Two China's PLA Navy's aircraft carrier task forces, Liaoning (Hull 16) and Shandong (Hull 17), completed combat-oriented training in the Western Pacific and returned to their home ports on June 30, 2025.
Their training subjects covered the reconnaissance and early warning, counterstrike, maritime assault, air defense, and day-and-night tactical flight of carrier-based aircraft.
As a routine arrangement of its annual plan, the training has enhanced their capabilities to safeguard China's national sovereignty, security and development interests.
