Even though the Camp David summit mentioned "peace" 10 times in its statement, it cannot hide the nature of the meeting to form a "mini NATO" military alliance to endanger peace in the Asia-Pacific.

In their statement, the United States, the Republic of Korea and Japan made unveiled claim to interfere in the Taiwan question and attempted to legalize the illegal arbitration concerning the South China Sea in 2016 that even the Philippines no longer mentions. These two steps are doubtlessly aimed at containing China.

They further vowed to strengthen sanctions against Russia, which would only make the Ukraine crisis worse, and push for "complete denuclearization" of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea to replace the publicly recognized denuclearization of the whole Korean Peninsula.

Through just one statement, the Camp David summit has set for itself three imaginary enemies as a full demonstration of their Cold War mentality.

However, Japan and the ROK need to know that while the three together push against the imaginary enemies, both of them, as the pawns of Washington, will have to bear the consequences. Especially the ROK as the only of the three with a land border with the DPRK must realize where its true interests lie and how to ensure security instead of provoking neighbors.
