Chinese naval ships wrap up visit to Russia

VLADIVOSTOK, Russia, July 31 -- The Chinese naval task force comprised of comprehensive landing ship Longhushan and training ship Zheng He, which is on  an ocean-going cadet training and visit mission, wrapped up the four-day goodwill visit to Russia and departed from the port of Vladivostok on Tuesday. At the same time, midshipmen onboard the ships started their training in far seas.

During the visit, the ships Longhushan and Zheng He attended the fleet review marking the 328th anniversary of the Russian Navy. The two sides carried out ship open day activities, and a deck reception was held on the ship Longhushan.

Russia's Pacific Fleet organized a farewell ceremony at the dock on Tuesday. Staff of the Chinese Consulate-General in Vladivostok, and representatives of overseas Chinese, Chinese-funded institutions and overseas students saw them off at the dock.
