JINAN, China, Sept. 29 -- The "Deep Blue Engine" International Midshipmen Leadership Skills Sharpening Camp, hosted by the Chinese PLA Navy, concluded on September 28 in Yantai City, east China's Shandong Province.

Under the theme of Leadership Cultivation for Future Naval Officers, this camp brought together midshipmen from countries including Cuba, Nigeria, Indonesia, Venezuela, Myanmar, Vietnam and Singapore, as well as cadets from six Chinese naval academies.

During the event, Chinese and foreign midshipmen engaged in training and experience across various disciplines, including military physical fitness, map-based navigation, combat casualty care, drone operation, sampan riding, and sailing. The cadets also held discussions on topics such as the "maritime community with a shared future" and "cross-cultural understanding in multinational operations" and explored ways to incorporate leadership development into daily training and education.

The host organization, the Chinese PLA Naval Aviation University, also arranged cultural exchange activities, including bonfire parties and Chinese traditional culture exhibition.
