Maritime live drills of "Peace Unity-2024" joint exercise wrap up

DAR ES SALAAM, Tanzania, Aug. 7 -- The naval taskforce participating in the China-Tanzania "Peace Unity-2024" joint exercise concluded all the training subjects of the maritime live drills and returned to the Port of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania on August 5, local time.

The maritime live drills of the joint exercise were conducted based on the scenario of maintaining the security of maritime transport in the waters east of Tanzania. The taskforce formed by the Chinese Navy's amphibious dock landing ship Wuzhishan and guided-missile destroyer Hefei as well as four patrol boats of the Tanzanian Navy carried out the drills on five subjects including main gun firing, joint search and rescue, anti-terrorism and anti-piracy, visit, board, search and seizure (VBSS), and joint patrol.
