15th Chinese peacekeeping force to South Sudan (Wau) passes UN equipment inspection

WAU, South Sudan, Jan. 20 -- The 15th Chinese Peacekeeping Force to the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) passed the first UN equipment inspection on January 16, local time, with all the materials and equipment meeting the standards prescribed by the UN.

The UN inspection team conducted an overall assessment of the weapons and ammunitions, vehicles and machineries, barrack facilities, medical equipment, and other materials and equipment assigned to the Chinese Peacekeeping Horizontal Engineering Company to UNMISS and the Chinese Peacekeeping Level-II Hospital to UNMISS.

The inspection indicated that all the materials and equipment met the standards prescribed by the UN and the requirements of self-sustainment and peacekeeping missions.
