BEIJING, Mar. 27 -- "It is a normal arrangement for China's aircraft carrier PLANS Fujian to carry out sea trials during its construction process," said Senior Colonel Wu Qian, spokesperson for China's Ministry of National Defense, at a press conference in response to the media query on PLANS Fujian's sea trial.
It is reported that the PLANS Fujian has recently set sail for its seventh sea trial. Some analysts suggest that the focus of this trial is catapult launch and arrested landing.
In response, the defense spokesperson said that he has no information to release on this and the sea trial is a routine arrangement for the construction of PLANS Fujian, and it should be viewed as normal. "Please take it easy," he finally added.
