LOMBOK, May 8 (ChinaMil)――The Chinese naval fleet participating in the multilateral naval exercise Komodo 2018 sent a medical team to participate in the medical civil action project in the north of Lombok, Indonesia, from May 5 to 6, local time. The Chinese medical team won a special contribution award for their outstanding achievements.
The medical civil action project drill consisted of land rescue, sea rescue and public health education. The Chinese medical team participated in land and sea rescue operations, and carried out emergency rescue, casualty classification, clinical diagnosis, and general surgery together with medical teams from the US, Russia, the UK and Australia.
At the same time, the joint commanding headquarters of the drill included free medical service for local people into the exercise content. The Chinese medical team meticulously provided medical examinations for more than 100 local residents followed by reasonable scientific medical advice.
During the drill, the Chinese naval fleet also donated urgently-needed medical equipment to Indonesia.
