The People's Liberation Army Navy has issued its latest recruitment advert to attract more talent into the armed forces as part of efforts to achieve the country's goal of building a world-class navy.

The video shows the daily life of students and their education and training at five Chinese naval universities. Modern naval weapons shown in the video inspire aspiring college candidates to pursue their dreams by joining the Chinese navy.

The Chinese army has been engaged in a battle for talents and paid more and more attention to the training of highly-skilled personnel in recent years.

China's modernization of its army and the fast development of weapons and new combat forces prompted the need for more talent and improved training.

The video shows the campus of the five naval academies including Naval University of Engineering in Wuhan, Central China's Hubei Province; Dalian Naval Academy in Dalian, Northeast China's Liaoning Province; Navy Submarine Academy in Qingdao, East China's Shandong Province; Naval Aviation University in Yantai, Shandong Province; and the Second Military Medical University in East China's Shanghai Municipality.

The Chinese military authority has just reshuffled its military education institutions as part of an ongoing military reform in recent years to build a stronger military and boost real-combat capability. There are now 43 military education institutions, 35 specialized in specific armed services, and six of armed police forces.
