Chinese, Belarusian special operations forces conclude joint training

JINAN, Aug. 20 (ChinaMil) -- Chinese and Belarusian special operations forces held a concluding ceremony for their joint training entitled “Hunting Falcon 2018” at a comprehensive training base attached to the Northern Theater Command of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) on August 17, 2018.

Wang Yinfang, Deputy Commander and Army Commander of the PLA Northern Theater Command, and Oleg Belokonev, Head of the General Staff of the Armed Forces and First Deputy Defense Minister of Belarus, attended the concluding ceremony.

During the training on joint assault and rescue operations, Chinese and Belarusian participating soldiers cooperated closely in completing the tasks such as all-around blockade and control, and sector search and wipeout.

The “Hunting Falcon 2018” commenced on August 5, 2018, involving 50 officers and soldiers from each side. Under the principles of “friendship, exchange, cooperation, and security”, the joint training highlights “special operations, innovation, counter-terrorism, and alliance”.

In a dozen days, centering on combat skills, counter-terrorism skills and tactics, the participating special operations soldiers of the two sides completed such subject training in mixed formations as unarmed combat, climbing and fast-roping, parachute landing and fast-roping from the helicopter as well as comprehensive exercises successively. Besides, the two sides carried out a variety of cultural exchange activities.
