‘Warrior-VI’: Pakistan-China joint military drills culminate near Kharian

RAWALPINDI – Special forces from Pakistan and China concluded three-week-long joint military drills near Kharian district of Punjab on Saturday, a statement from the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

Troops of Special Service Group of Pakistan Army and People Liberation Army China participated in the four-week long exercise ‘Warrior –VI 2018’, according to the military’s media wing.

The four-week long joint exercise aimed at sharing respective experiences in the field of counter-terrorism operations and learn from each other’s expertise, it added.

Inspector General Training and Evaluation (IGT&E) Lieutenant General Sher Afgun was chief guest on the occasion.

This was the sixth joint exercise of the series as part of bilateral military cooperation between both friendly countries.

In December last year, a contingent of, Joint International Air Drill of Pakistan and China, Shaheen VII, also took place at an operational airbase in Pakistan.

According to a Pakistan Air Force spokesperson, the Chinese contingent included pilots and air defence controllers.
