At least 11 people were injured by explosions at a military warehouse in Arys city in southern Kazakhstan on Monday, according to the local public health department.
A state of emergency has been declared in the area, which is close to local residents.
Tens of thousands of residents have been evacuated, local authorities said.
The cause of the incident remains unclear.
